What to Pack For Great Wolf Lodge

My family and I just recently returned from a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge in Manteca. This is a place where you and your kids will do many different activities in a short amount of time. These activities can include bowling, rock climbing, mini golfing, swimming, and playing in the arcade. There is an outside pool, inside waterpark and many other activities, this poses the question of what should I bring to the Great Wolf Lodge?

While it’s fresh in my memory and to help other parents or those going soon. Here is my list of what to pack for Great Wolf Lodge, enjoy!

Great Wolf Lodge Essential Packing List

Check-in-

Valid photo Id and Credit Card: You will need an Id and the credit card used to book your stay at check-in!

Hotel Room-

Snacks: My little guy likes to snack and with all the adventuring going on, some easy packaged snacks help him last between meal times. (me too)
Drinks/cooler: Coolers are allowed into your hotel room and you can stop before hand to fill up yours and your kids favorite drinks. There are mini fridges if you don’t want to lug in a cooler!
Quick breakfast or food items: Similar to the above, if your kid is picky or you just want to save a little bit of money, there are microwaves by the vending machines to warm up some food.
Earplugs: Packing these can be a lifesaver in all hotels! Especially at the Great Wolf Lodge. If you are a light sleeper or just need some silence from all the noise during the day.
Quiet activities: Calm and quiet activities for your kids to take a break or settle down for bedtime can be helpful. A pack of cards or coloring books can give you some much needed peace while you rest. Our little one loves these quiet board books here.
Travel toiletries: Don’t forget to pack your toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, hair gel…etc. You can get travel size bottles for cheap and they will be much nicer than the standard hotel equivalents! Get my favorite toiletries bag here.
Medicine/First Aid: While you won’t be too far from a store and the hotel may even have some of these items, it is advisable to bring a little bit of medicine for you and your family. Having some Tums and Band-Aids never hurt anybody. Buy my favorite cute travel first aid kit here.

Clothing and Accessories-

With all the varying activities to do at the Great Wolf Lodge, you will need to pack a variety of clothing items. Some of these activities will have requirements, so check below to make sure you bring what you need!

Workout/adventure clothes: You will want to make sure you pack some comfortable clothes for the ropes course and the climbing wall.
“Climbing” shoes: Closed toe and closed heel with rubber soles. These are required if you plan to climb or go on the ropes course.
Casual/comfy clothes
Swimsuits: Don’t forget your swimsuit for the water park and pools!
Swim cover up: The waterpark and pool were a little jaunt from our room through the Great Wolf Lodge. Here is a super cute swim cover up option!
Water shoes/flip flops: Make sure to pack water proof protection for your feet!
Hat and Sunglasses: Essential to pack for the Great Wolf Lodge outside pool and areas.
Waterproof watch: These are always nice to have so you can play in the water and not miss any other activities that you were interested in!

Pool and Waterpark-

Sunscreen
Aqua Socks: These are similar to water shoes, but in sock form! If you are worried about your kids or yourself slipping and falling these can be useful for the pool.
Goggles: If you or your little ones like to dive or explore under the surface make sure to pack your goggles.
Swim Diapers: If your child still is wearing diapers they MUST wear swim diapers to the water park and pool. We love these re-usable swim diapers here.
A good Book: The Great Wolf Lodge might not be the most relaxing of places. I still recommend bringing a good book to read while your kids play.
Ziploc bags: Having a few plastic bags can be useful for protecting your devices or transferring soaking wet cloth items back to the car/hotel room or you could use a dry bag!
Life Jacket: If you or a loved one need a life jacket they are provided, BUT as first come first serve at the Great Wolf Lodge. So this might be something to consider beforehand.
Towels: They are provided for you, so you will not need to bring one unless you just love your own.

Note: snacks and outside drinks are not permitted into the water park area.

Other/Miscellaneous-

First aid kit: There are a lot of exciting things to do, this naturally invites a scrape or two. Having a basic first aid kit is nice.
Wet Wipes: Wipes are always nice to have whether you have kids or not.
Hand Sanitizer: There are a lot of shared spaces and high traffic objects to touch. Bring this for the arcade alone!
Portable Charger: These are awesome, you can charge your phone in your bag without having to find an outlet! Click here for the portable charger I bring with me one every trip.
Backpack or beach bag: You will probably have a lot of things to carry to the pool or water park so don’t forget a bag! This mesh beach bag is perfect and has side pockets to keep everything organized.
MagiQuest Wand: If this isn’t your first visit and you have previously purchased wands, go ahead and bring them! They still work and will even remember all you quests you have completed.
Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is always a necessity. There are water fountains to fill up around the hotel. My family loves these water bottles that come in all types of colors and are perfect for traveling.
