IMG 0627 Original

Fall in Utah is easily one of the best seasons. The colors are spectacular and there are so many fun Fall activities in Utah the whole family will enjoy. This post will show you some of very best things to do in the Fall in Utah this September and October that you can’t miss!

Top Fall Festivals and Pumpkin Patches in Utah

1-The Kinlands Pumpkin Patch-

There are many great pumpkin patches in Utah, but we go to the Kinlands pumpkin patch almost every year (formally known as Peterson Farms).

This is a great family friendly farm with lots of great pumpkins, photo opps, cute swings on big red trucks, a slide on some hay bales, a few farm animals and tractor rides.

They also have an incredible market with lots of fresh food items to choose from and some cute handicrafts for your home. Going to The Kinlands is one of our favorite fall activities in Utah every year.

2-Cornbelly’s-

Cornbelly’s is another annual Fall tradition for us. It is definitely one of the top things to do in Utah in the Fall. Cornbelly’s has become so popular that they opened up a second location in Spanish Fork. (The original one is located in Lehi).

Cornbelly’s has over 60 activities and Fall attractions including a corn maze and haunted attractions after dark. It’s seriously so fun for all ages because they have so many fun Fall farm style games and some little rides.

I have a 3 year old now, but my friends and I even went years ago before having kids. My husband and his friends love the zipline, apple shooters and mechanical bull and of course the haunted areas are so fun for older kids, teenagers and adults.

For little ones, there are so many fun little games, a carousel, farm animal feeding, a little playground, a jumping pillow, a singing chickens show, pig races and so so much more!

Make sure to check the events calendar  because there are different events every day and even fireworks on some weekend nights!

Open Sept. 20th-Nov. 2nd Closed on Sundays

3-Cornbelly’s Spanish Fork and Sunflower Festival

My family and I visited the Spanish Fork Cornbelly’s for the first time last year during the Sunflower Festival and we loved it! It’s a bit more remote, it has lower prices and less people and still 30+ attractions including an amazing sunflower festival.

There’s so much to do, you could easily spend hours here. You can also pick some of the sunflowers to take home (for an additional fee). There’s lots of yummy fall treats too like kettle corn and apple cider slushies. If you are looking for things to do in Utah in September, this Sunflower Festival at Cornbelly’s is an amazing option!

Sunflower season open August 30th-September 30th. Pumpkin Season October 1st-Nov. 2nd

4-Highland Gardens Fall Festival

I debated putting this on the list because it’s such a hidden gem fall activity in Utah! This mini fall festival in Utah is actually free and one of our absolute favorite things to do in Utah in the Fall.

Highland Gardens itself is so cute with so many great unique things to buy and they have a really great Fall collection.

Then if you head outside, there are so many cute photo opps, U-pick sunflowers, little race cars, a corn play area, a hay bale slide, jumping pillow, giant tire swings and even the famous Aggie’s icecream including a peach special with peaches and cobbler on top…yum!

I took my toddler here last September and we had the best day ever, I can’t wait to take him to this Fall festival in September 2024.

We will update this post when we find out dates for 2024, but last year the Fall festival started September 9th.

5-Rowley’s Red Barn

Rowley’s red barn actually has 3 different festivals in August, September and October and is one of the best things to do in Utah in the Fall.

Each Friday at 3:30 p.m. and Saturday at 9:30 a.m., The Harvest Festival opens. You can just check in across the road from the barn.

For the harvest festival, they have apple picking. It’s free to go to the orchard and you just pay per fruit.  The fruit you pick is priced at $1.79 / pound for Honeycrisp Apples and $1.49 / pound for all other varieties.

The Fall festival begins September 20th and is one of the most fun fall activities in Utah. They will have a corn maze, apple cannons, a barn yard, zip lines, bouncers, a corn pit, a wagon ride, slides, fire pits and more!

10-Kuwahara Pumpkin Patch and Thriller Park

Kuwahara pumpkin patch is one of my favorite pumpkin patches in Utah. This is probably the most “Instagrammable” Pumpkin patch in Utah with tons of pumpkin walls everywhere and adorable wagons everywhere to pick your pumpkins. There are also various themed pumpkin greenhouse tents.

Kuwahara also has a family fun Halloween festival each year called Thriller Park. It includes a Halloween main street area, zombie paintball, inflatables, food trucks, a corn maze and shows and performances on the evenings.

11- Gardner Village WitchFest

Gardner Village WitchFest is by far one of our favorite things to do in Utah in the Fall. This is an annual family tradition. Gardner Village is a quaint historic village in West Jordan, Utah and each Fall it comes to life with witches!

There are dozens of funny themed witches all over the little village and you can take your kids on a scavenger hunt to try and find them all to get a prize. Gardner Village also has many other family friendly Fall and Halloween activities happening each weekend including different booths with activities including face painting and balloon animals. There are also fun and friendly witches walking around.

At the end of the night, Thriller is performed alongside the Gardner Village witches on the main stage. Witchfest is free to attend, but parking will be $10 per vehicle.

13-Visit an Apple Orchard

Going apple picking is a quintessential Fall activity in Utah and it’s so fun for all ages. It is really fun with your family or girlfriends or even as a date night. There are many places you can go apple picking in Utah, but here are some of the ones I recommend:

Apple picking at the apple orchard

Burgess Orchards:

Located in Alpine, Utah, Burgess Orchards is a great place to go apple picking. It will start in September 2024 and there is no entrance fee, you just pay per the weight of the apples you pick. Rileys’ Orchard:

Located in Genola, Utah, this is a great orchard and on weekends, they have a few activities to make it even more fun. Don’t forget to try one of their apple slushies.

Rowley’s Red Barn:
